Regent’s Black Law Students Association is hosting its annual Soul Food Café on February 14th in conjunction with the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Society, the Business Law Society, and Phi Alpha Delta.
You will have a chance to hear the powerful testimony of Nikki Johnson-Huston, Esq. Nikki is a tax attorney in Philadelphia. A 2004 graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, she earned a J.D./M.B.A/ LL.M in Taxation in only four years. Nikki is a frequent speaker on how she overcame a life of poverty and homelessness to become an award winning young attorney.
Guests will not only enjoy Nikki’s presentation but they will be served a great selection of delicious food. The event runs from 6p-9p in the Library Atrium at Regent University.

It is that time of year again, 1L elections! On September 16th and 17th (next Monday and Tuesday) first year law students will have the opportunity to elect four of their classmates to represent them in the Student Bar Association Senate. Eight candidates have been certified for the two-day election.

The polling station will be located in Robertson Hall in the lobby. It will be open from 10a-1pm each day. 1Ls will be asked to sign a registration booklet to ensure voting integrity and will be given a paper ballot. Candidates may campaign on election days, but will not campaign within 100 feet of the polling station.
Furthermore there will be a candidate forum on Friday September 13th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Robertson Hall Room 112. Lunch will be provided to all 1Ls that attend.
Is your fridge running low on supplies? Have you moved back into the library for finals? Do you find yourself spending every spare moment studying? Then come out to cram jam! SBA will be in the library serving up Pollard’s Chicken to keep you fed and happy from Noon to 2pm this Friday.

Regent’s fall blood drive is scheduled for this Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 from 10-4 in the library atrium.
Please come out both on the day of the event and pre-register so the Red Cross can plan staffing accordingly.
